DAS-Hutchinson to conclude at the end of 2026
After nine hugely successful seasons, DAS-Hutchinson will bring its UCI Continental programme to a close at the end of the 2026 season.
It is a difficult decision, but one that comes with an enormous sense of pride in everything the team has achieved and, most importantly, in the riders and people it has helped support along the way. From our beginnings as Team OnForm, the ambition has always been about far more than results. The team was created to give talented riders an opportunity to develop, race at a higher level and take the next steps in their careers.
Over the years, we have been privileged to work with an incredible number of riders, helping them progress from the British domestic scene into international racing and in many cases, onwards to the highest levels of the sport. Providing that pathway has always been one of the things we are most proud of. Teams at this level play an important role in bridging the gap between development racing and the professional peloton, giving riders the racing, support, experience and belief they need to realise their potential. Alongside that development, the team has enjoyed some unforgettable moments of its own. We have regularly competed at the very highest level of British racing, secured victories and podiums both at home and internationally, and lined up against some of the biggest teams and riders in the world.
Competing in major UCI events, including races on the UCI Women’s WorldTour calendar has provided extraordinary opportunities for our riders and staff and demonstrated what a relatively small British team can achieve on the international stage. None of that would have been possible without the incredible support of our sponsors and brand partners. Their commitment, enthusiasm and belief in the project have allowed us to provide opportunities for riders that otherwise may not have existed, and we are enormously grateful to every company and individual that has supported the team throughout its journey.
The landscape of international cycling continues to evolve and the cost of operating a competitive UCI Continental programme has risen significantly, particularly through the increasing costs associated with European racing and travel. Despite the fantastic backing of our partners, maintaining the programme at the standard we believe our riders and staff deserve has become increasingly difficult.
As a result, DAS-Hutchinson will not continue as a UCI Continental team in 2027. However, this is not the end of Team OnForm. The Team OnForm development programme will continue, maintaining the commitment to supporting young riders and providing opportunities for the next generation to develop within the sport. We are extremely proud that this pathway will remain in place and continue the ethos on which the original team was founded.
Simon Howes, Co-Team Owner, said:
“It’s been an incredible journey. When we first started Team OnForm, we never imagined where it would take us, the races we would compete in, the results we would achieve or the number of brilliant people we would meet along the way. Above all, I’m proud of the opportunities we have been able to give riders. Seeing athletes come through the programme, develop with us and go on to take the next steps in their careers has always meant more than any individual result. Teams like this are such an important part of the pathway in women’s cycling. They give riders the chance to learn, race internationally, gain experience and show what they are capable of. It has been an incredibly difficult decision to bring the Continental programme to an end, but now feels like the right time. I’m enormously proud of what we have built and hugely grateful to every rider, member of staff, volunteer, sponsor, partner and supporter who has played a part in it.”
While the DAS-Hutchinson chapter will come to an end after the 2026 season, the impact of the team will continue through the riders, staff and people who have been part of it, and through Team OnForm as it continues to support the next generation.
To everyone who has raced with us, worked with us, supported us or cheered us on: thank you for being part of the journey.
